Ski in France, espresso in Italy
La Rosière connects directly with La Thuile across the Col du Mont Vieux. Ski the French slopes in the morning, then cross the border for a proper Italian espresso at lunch.
La Rosière sits at 1850 m in the Savoie Alps and links with La Thuile in Italy via the Col du Mont Vieux. Together, they make up the Espace San Bernardo, with more than 150 km of marked pistes. The village is high at 1850 metres, while the ski area reaches 2800 metres at Mont Valaisan, giving the resort a well earned reputation for reliable snow. Its position near the Petit Saint Bernard pass, between the Tarentaise and Aosta valleys and close to Mont Blanc, also brings favourable snowfall. Families will find dependable skiing from mid winter into spring, while experienced skiers can explore the extensive off piste terrain. Ski schools, equipment hire and après ski are all close by in the village.
Around the table
La Foglietta's open plan kitchen makes it easy to cook and eat together after a day in the mountains. When you feel like eating out, Les Eucherts and La Rosière village offer plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance, from traditional Savoyard fondue to refined bistronomic cuisine and wood fired Italian food.
